Emotionally Streaking

A wise friend once told me to emotionally streak.  So I did I took a trip across the country on leap day.  I had an adventure that helped me grow. 

So in the advice of a close friend I am emotionally streaking again and sharing for the first time the first part of my book.  Please feel free to comment… I have never been this naked before so… enjoy!

            It had been years since Lily had crawled up into her parents attic, it had been even longer since she looked through the old dusty boxes full of her childhood memories.  She pulled back a loose strand of hair as she pulled the tape off the first box.  Next to old pom-poms was her journal.  The cover was faded now and the corners worn with use, what was once a bright purple was now a dusty reminder of how many years had gone by.  As Lily lifted the book out of the box an old newspaper article fell out.
